Ingredients

  • 125 grams Milk Chocolate Wafers
  • 125 grams Pink Chocolate Wafers
  • 125 grams While Chocolate Wafers
  • 2 tablespoons assorted sprinkles each
  • 25 grams Cocoa Wafers unflavored - Optional

Instructions

  • Place the wafers in bowls and melt the chocolate either in a double boiler or in the microwave.
  • If you are using a microwave, heat for 30 seconds at at time in a glass bowl.
  • If you don't have a double boiler, use a pot of water brought to a boil topped with a steel colander and then place your glass bowl in it. Stir the chocolate occasionally so that it melts evenly. If you find that your chocolate is too dry, add some pure cocoa wafers like 2 to 3 small chips (unflavored) or a good quality mild tasting oil. Just a few drops like ½ teaspoon.
  • Once your chocolate has melted, remove it immediately. Stir to smooth out the chunks and place in a warm place. If you have a stove top warming burner, now is the best time to use it. Set it on low and place cooling rack on top, then place your bowls on top to keep the chocolate warm and smooth.
  • Once the chocolate is melted, dunk one side into the chocolate and use a fork to help guide the chocolate out and transfer to parchment paper. If handy, you can also use tweezers to help.
  • Once you have dunked your cookies in the chocolate, place candies and sprinkles on top to decorate.
  • Repeat and let the cookies cool until dry. Depending on the type of chocolate you are using, this may take 15 minutes or several hours.

Creating Different Designs

You can make different designs by dunking your cookies in different colored chocolate. Make your designs in this order so that you don't waste chocolate:

    • One color - this is self explanatory, dunking the cookie into one bowl of chocolate.
    • Half and Half - dunk one side of the cookie in one color, then the other side in another color. Use a toothpick to blend the colors together down the middle.
    • Marble - once you have used most of the chocolate, combine one color into another and using a small spoon mis the colors by running a spoon through the chocolate in an "S" design.

    Notes

HINT: Use a tweezer (widen the tips with your hands) to help you dunk the cookies so that you don't get chocolate all over your fingers. Although, that might not be so bad, right? Yum!
