Hey, I'm Amy! And I'm so happy you're here!! So many of my favorite memories in life seem to take place around the table, especially when surrounded by the people I love. And of course, all the better when nourished by some seriously delicious food.
I'm a busy house wife and mom who is dedicated to home life and a career that keeps me busy.
I'm what I would like to think of as a typical European wife and mother of two. I work hard and enjoy cooking and especially making desserts. When I'm not doing that I enjoy binge watching some television series (what series those are will remain nameless).
I love to bake, cook and make ice cream. My family loves to eat it and I don't mind eating it either, if I say so myself.
I love searching through the world wide web or watching food shows for inspiration on new recipes and desserts.
In addition, when I want to eat healthy, I'm passionate about the Whole30 program by Melissa Urban.
This is what lead me to create a blog where I could share some great food recipe ideas with those who are interested.
Who inspires me?
Cooks like Anna Olsen, the Barefoot Contessa, Rachel Ray and Valerie Bertanelli to mention a few. These are just a few of the cooks I love to watch cook.
Some days it just doesn't matter who's on the Food Network. There's something about watching someone whether they are a professional or homemaker put foods, spices and aromas together to make a delicious meal.
My inspiration comes from watching these cooks put together a meal and learning little tips and tricks along the way.
So go ahead, explore the sight and see if there is anything that might inspire you.
Food Preparation Skill and Expertise
I don't pretend to have studied at the Cordon Bleu or some other cooking school! I am a self taught cook and someone that watched there mom cook all their life. You may see some dishes that don't look that professionally finished, but that's because I'm not a professional. I'm a do it yourselfer and I love every minute of trying out new recipes. If I can cook something, then you can too!
My Food Blog Style
To be honest, I'm not sure about my food blog style. I'm still working on that. For now, I just want to share recipes that will inspire others to make food that they will love and enjoy to eat.
You won't find any recipes on my blog that are not approved by myself or my family.
I truly hope you enjoy the recipes on my blog that have been tried and tested, from my kitchen to yours.
