Breakfast time can be a challenging time of the day. Especially Whole30 Breakfast Ideas.  And having to decide what to eat when you are trying to stick to a very restrictive diet.

Jump to:
  • No. 1 - Easy Whole30 Breakfast Sausage with Kale + Spinach
  • No. 2 - Egg- Free Smoked Salmon Breakfast Bowls
  • No. 3 - Roasted Veggie Breakfast Casserole
  • No. 4 -  Avacado Baked Eggs
  • No. 5 -   Green Shakshuka

For those of you who don't know Whole30 is an elimination diet which eliminates foods that are said to cause inflammation or allergic reactions in the body.

The Whole30 diet program eliminates added sugars (this includes honey, agave nectar, maple syrup, etc.), alcohol (not even for cooking), all grains (e.g. rice, wheat, oats, barley, corn, quinoa), all peanuts (not tree nuts), legumes and soy, dairy, msg, added sulfites or carrageenen.

Basically the program forces you to eat simple, unprocessed foods. What's more is that to learn from the programme, you are not permitted to create restricted foods like pizza, pancakes or sweets.

All this for a period of 30 days.  On the 31st day, you begin to introduce restricted ingredients with the hope of finding the food items that cause your body to react by causing an inflammatory or allergic reaction.

If you would like to learn more about Whole30, visit the official website at www.whole30.com.

Today, to help meal planning easier and make your life simpler, I've got Whole30 Breakfast Ideas.  Note that this list is not in any specific order.

No. 4 -  Avacado Baked Eggs

Writer:  K.C. Cornwell
Recipe Link:  https://gfreefoodie.com/avocado-baked-eggs

Avocado Baked Eggs is a fabulous breakfast meal – top them with a bit of bacon or roasted red peppers. Or, use ham, or even leftover taco meat! The coolest part of this recipe is that you can set the oven timer and walk away.

Avacado Baked Eggs

No. 5 -   Green Shakshuka

Writer:  Emily Liao
Recipe Link:  https://downshiftology.com/recipes/green-shakshuka

Green shakshuka puts a healthy green spin on the classic shakshuka recipe. It’s an easy, one-pan dish filled with shaved brussels sprouts, spinach, zucchini, and poached eggs. Whether you eat it for breakfast or dinner, it’s a hearty, nutrient-packed meal that will last you through any season.  Make ahead for the next day or same day breakfast, lunch or brunch.

So that’s it.  Just in case your wondering, I threw in one more salad for good luck.  Now, I know you are probably feeling overwhelmed right now and to be honest so am I.  I can’t decide which one of these is my all time favorite. They are all pretty good.

P.S.  A big thank you to the recipe bloggers that contributed to this post, you know who you are!
