Peach Cobbler with Canned Peaches

This easy peach cobbler with canned peaches comes together in less than 15 minutes and tastes delicious. This homemade peach cobbler uses canned peaches instead of fresh peaches. The hard part about making this peach cobbler is waiting until it is cool enough to eat it!

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Empty one can of peach liquid into a baking dish with melted butter.
  • Add vanilla, brown sugar and the peaches. Discard the liquid from the second can of peaches.
  • In a small bowl combine the dry ingredients for the cake topping.
  • Add butter and using a pastry cutter or your hands mix in the butter. It's ok if there are still large chunks of butter.
  • Add milk and mix.
  • Scoop the batter on top of the peaches.
  • Bake for 50 minutes.

Notes

Instructions on using fresh peaches:
You will need 5 to 6 peaches. Clean, slice and remove the pit of your peaches. Bring 2 cups of water and ½ cup of sugar to a boil in a medium saucepan. Place fresh sliced peaches and boil for 2 to 3 minutes.
Reserve 1 cup of the water to use in the recipe. Drain peaches. Continue with step 1 of the recipe.
